Kia Forum

If you think, your Kia has a serious defect that affects the safety of the vehicle, report it to the Kia Dealer immediately. If you’re not happy with how the Kia Dealer is dealing with your report, in the UK you should contact the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA).

But before that, you can describe the fault of your Kia in our forum. Maybe some other Kia owner will learn that he experienced the same issue. Multiple occurrences of identical defects mean a better chance of success in a complaint filed with the DVSA. Our website is visited by Kia owners from all over the world.

  1. Our 2016 KIA Picanto CHILLI will flatten the Battery and fail to start. Calling assistance then usually sees the car started. The repairers conclusion is always ” flat Battery ” NOT true for in every case I have flattened this trying to get mobile. Left alone for an hour and then using jump leads connected to the Battery sees the car start and run. This happens quite regularly, but being miles from a dealer and disabled rules out making such a trip. Anyone with any answer/s to this problem? Peter

  2. Dear Sir/Madam

Are you aware of fuel pump problems in the new model Kia Sportage. I bought a new model diesel in 2019 in Cork Ireland. I have completed only 14.000 kms and had it service in December 2019 (bought in Jan 2019 ). The fuel pump now needs to be replaced and I am hearing of other owners with the same issue. I did not receive any recall from Kia Ireland on the issue.
    Thank you
    John O Sullivan
